Curl Curl is a suburb on the Northern Beaches that lies 14 kilometers north-east of Sydney’s CBD and belongs to the Warringah local council. The main form of transport for locals are buses, but many residents also choose to take advantage of either the scenic Manly ferry or one of three ferries that travel across Sydney harbour to Darling Harbour, Pyrmont Bay and Kirribilli during rush hour. There is also an E36 bus route from Curl Curl to Manly Wharf in the morning peak hour which connects with all Ferry services at Circular Quay (and vice versa in the afternoon).

Walkers, runners, cyclists and sports players love it here because it offers quiet beaches when contrasted against Manly or other suburbs’ hustle and bustle. There are also surfing lessons for beginners on offer from several surf schools around the area (though tourists looking to get into surfing may find themselves priced out). In terms of golf courses – there’s no shortage here! Long Reef Golf Course is about 20 minutes away, Warringah about 45 minutes away, Balgowlah about 1 hour away or so if you’re travelling outside peak hours; and even some local courses such as the Brookvale or Dee Why fields come highly recommended by visitors due to convenience.
