Calculating Rental Yield

If you are not sure on how to calculate yearly rental yield on a property, take a look at the steps below to learn.

Say you bought a investment property in QLD for 650k and your weekly rental returns is $650per week.

You Times $650 weekly rental return x 52 weeks in a year this = $33,800 then

Divide the weekly rental return by the purchase price.

$33,800 divided by $650,000= 0.052 then

Times 0.052 by 100%

Which comes to 5.2% annual rental yield.

This is the rental yield for the example above
